Look at the way Dan is side-eyeing Emma in the first gif, and how he’s chewing on his thumb. That’s a nervous gesture. It looks like he’s assessing the situation to see how they react to it, and although I’m probably reading too much into this, he looked quite pleased when Rupert expressed how unwilling he was to kiss Emma and made such an embarassing comment.
And if Dan and Emma really dated when they were 14 the way people have speculated, then this gesture of Dan’s could possibly be interpreted as jealousy. :P
I’m probably reading too much into this but eh? It’s fun to speculate.
Dan: After you, Emma. I can’t relax until you’re relaxing.
Emma: No, please. Honestly.
Dan: Oh, all right. Okay.
